Eyelash Perming and Tinting

Eyelash perming and tinting is something I tried about a year ago, and now do it on a regular basis. My lashes used to be short, straight, and had lighter ends. It was really annoying, I had to spend hours in the morning to get them look pretty.

Eyelash perming and tinting allows you to forget about problems like that. No more straight lashes, meet a doll-like look! So, this is what I found out about eyelash perming and tinting after reading several magazines about fashion eyelashes.

Particularly, I had three really bothering questions before the very procedure:

Does eyelash perming and tinting make your lashes curled and black?
Does eyelash perming and tinting cause lashes to fall out?
Can it do harm to your eyes or skin around eyes?

The answers to these questions were rather positive, and a bit later I could check it. Let me share my eyelash perming and tinting experience with you.

It really works!!! These were my first words after eyelash perming and tinting. Your lashes look so curled.
You will never get such an effect after using a curler. The color is just perfect. You do not have to put on mascara every morning, just a bit of eye shadows.

Your lashes are going to be safe. Yes, they will use some sort of chemicals and perming solutions when doing eyelash perming and tinting. But if you visit a real professional in a reputable salon, your lashes are not going to fall out. Sometimes, you even cannot feel the smell of perm solution.

Your eyes or skin around them are not going to be damaged. Well, definitely if a professional is working with you! Usually, perm solution appears nowhere near your eyelid or elsewhere during eyelash perming and tinting.

I invite you to read a number of posts in which we will learn how to become perfect to the fingertips. Let’s start with eyebrow and eyelash tint. In my previous articles on fashion eyelashes I stressed on the importance of sense of harmony. Success of eyebrow and eyelash tint is much determined by this sense as well. I want you to see the process of eyebrow and eyelash tint with the eyes of a cosmetologist, as seeing the process inside you will know better how to control it and how to adjust it to your own needs.

First of all, let us decide what you need eyebrow and eyelash tint for. Apart from the purpose to become even more beautiful than we are, there is another function of eyebrow and eyelash tint – the procedure helps us to shape eyebrows and eyelashes. As for eyelashes, it’s quite clear – they become long and thick without making much effort to eye make-up. As for the importance of eyebrow and eyelash tint for eyebrows, I would like to consider it at greater length. With the help of the procedure under consideration we can shape eyebrows making them more arched or straighter. When deciding on the form of you eyelashes you should keep to natural hair growth line. You should also consider peculiar features of your face and current fashion tendencies.

During eyebrow and eyelash tint delicate eyelid skin should be carefully protected from dye attack. Oily cream that protects skin and does not flow will help. For extra protection of lower eyelids you can also use wet cotton wool which is put under lower eyelashes on cream.

Note that you cannot use hair dye for eyebrow and eyelash tint; there is a special dye which can be black, blue, grey and brown. To get black eyebrows, it is preferable to use two thirds of black dye and one third of a blue one. If you want to get ebony eyebrows, black dye should be blended with a brown one. To decide on the color of your eyebrows you should consider your skin and hair color. Eyebrows should be lighter than eyelashes. Therefore, it’s better to start with grey or brown dye. Note that it is easier to tint eyebrows once again (if they are not dark enough) than to try to make it lighter later.

At the beginning of eyebrow and eyelash tint your cosmetologist will remove your make-up with a special oil-free cream, as oil prevents dye effect. You will be asked to look up; meanwhile, a thick layer of protective cream is carefully put on lower eyelids. Then you will be asked to close your eyes – thus the cream is put on upper eyelids. After that the dye is put on your eyelashes by means of a special brush.

Eyebrows are dyed in the direction to bridge of nose. Your cosmetologist decides on eyebrow length in the following way: a straight line is drawn (fictitiously) from wings of nose through external and internal tails of the eyes. Eyebrow should finish near this line. To keep the natural face expression I advise you not to practise upon dying eyebrows with pitch-dark color.
Thereupon, wet tampons are put on your eyelids and the dye is removed. A special bland compress is applied and a special cream is put on eyelids – eyebrow and eyelash tint is finished at this stage.
